Tire pressure gauge pressed on car tire valve stem to check correct PSI - how to check tire pressure guide

How to check tire pressure: Park on level ground, wait 3 hours after driving (cold check is most accurate). Find your recommended PSI on the driver’s door jamb sticker — not the tire sidewall. Remove valve cap, press tire gauge firmly and squarely onto valve stem, hold 2 seconds, read PSI. Compare to door sticker. Add air with compressor or release with the gauge pin. Every 10°F temperature drop = approximately 1 PSI loss — check every season change.
